Status Update

This week is an update on several parts of our lives.

Debt: no tax return; had to pay because I screwed up on the paperwork and didn't realize we had taxable income (oops) partly because we didn't last year. Sold cows yesterday at auction and will get the check within the next few days. Praying that they sold for more than expected. Will definitely get the debt paid off by our goal date regardless.

Baby: starting to roll around and make its presence known! Looks like it could be a spunky kid and give Yance a run for his money. We're almost at 15 weeks now (June 3), and we'll visit the midwife again on June 12.

Marriage: never better. I love my sweetheart!

Sneaky: still here. Argh. Nobody wants him. We're making plans for next year should he fail to sell. There is still an ad on EquineNow that will stay through August before it gets taken down permanently.

Dingus: it's been too hot to work in the afternoon so I haven't touched him this week. Regardless, I still plan to saddle him on Saturday for the first time, and I'm reworking my schedule to work him four mornings a week instead of afternoons.

Yance: the boy is helping me with laundry, getting more teeth, and eating three square meals a day - plus a snack and a one or two hour nap every afternoon. About 14 hours of his day, including overnight, are spent sound asleep in his crib. He's over 20 pounds and will be 15 months on June 8. Our little one understands to put stuff back/away, loves to close doors and turn our box fan off, and enjoys showing off his latest prize - whether it's a piece of leather, a blue gun mold from his father's leather tools, a screwdriver, or a toilet paper roll. Or a piece of laundry. He's a healthy, crazy, adorable little character!

Life is going well, and we're enjoying raising our son and working toward living out our dreams. God has been so good to us!
