Our Rights as a People

The bill of rights was designed to prevent abuse of the power of the Constitution, and to prevent people from misconstruing it.

And so, here they are.

And now there are those who would like to stop free, peaceful speech, and also make the government favor or hate different religions. Like: defend Muslims, and hate Christians, or just be indifferent to one and love the other. Jews and Israelis also feel disdain from different members of the government.

There are those, who have the right to both bear and NOT bear arms, who would have us give up our best method of self-defense and our tools. Look. Our right to bear arms is being infringed upon way too much as it is, what with different states requiring permits, being a certain age, and just what we can and cannot have.

Taking away AR-15s would be taking away my husband's hunting rifle, and the rifle he carries on the property to defend himself from coyotes, mad hogs, snakes, and other dangerous animals. And you would be taking our main home defense weapon away.

At the moment, I know of no case where a soldier has been illegally housed by the government in a home where no one there wants the soldier to be housed.

The police, well-meaning or not, abuse at times the amendment saying that the people should be safe from unreasonable and unspecific searches and seizures without warrants based on probable cause and also supported by an oath or affirmation.

How many times has a person twice been held for the same offense, been a witness against himself, or been killed, imprisoned, or fined, without due process of law? How many times has a person gone to court for a capital or infamous offense without the grand jury presenting or indicting them? Moreover, how many times has private property been uncompensated for or unjustly compensated when taken for public use? (I'm genuinely asking)

Have there ever been cases where there have been no witnesses in the suspect's favor? How about the suspect not getting a speedy and public trial? Have there been suspects with no one defending them, or not knowing exactly what they were accused of, or being prosecuted not in the state or district where the crime was committed?

The next amendment says... "In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law."

Has common law been ignored?

I wonder how many times this one has been rejected.... "Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted."

And this one.... "The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people."

Boy has this one been completely overlooked. "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

I am boiling mad, as are many, many people out there, who stand up for their gun rights. But I want to look at the big picture.

I have a feeling all ten of the Amendments in the Bill of Rights have been, at one time or another, been ignored or rejected entirely.

This. Needs. To. Stop.

The rights of the people are being ignored, and the people being stomped over are, for the most part, ignoring their own rights. Which, in turn, allows the politicians and law makers in power to further ignore the people.

America was great at one time. It's never been perfect, but it has been great.

Now she is just an empire, ruling over her people and ignoring their rights and needs. Sure, she gives in to what some would want, but do not (usually) need.

The Supreme Court has passed laws that obliterate the right to live, and other horrible laws that contradict the Constitution.

It's time to start over. Time to empty the Senate, the House of Representatives, the Supreme Court, the FBI, the CIA, and anything else with people in high power running around without restraint.

(I'm not saying kill anyone; just reset it and have an election to put brand-new people in power)

Or maybe it is time for a secession. Maybe just ignore the Empire States of America and instead rebuild the Republic of Texas.

Either way we need to start over. Start fresh. Ignore the majority, which kills and commits sinful acts on a daily basis.

And pray to God that we will see a day where men and women alike are respectful and respectable.

Or that the Rapture comes quickly.
