KeeNov 2016 Post-Sale Review

First, a photo from our weekend out of the house.

This week, I decided to give you an update on the horses I put on my watchlist that did go through the ring at Keeneland in November 2016. In hip order, here they are.

Madame Giry (in foal to Honor Code) - foal due April/May 2017 - 2016 foal born Apr 18. RNA’d so probably still in T.F. VanMeter & Brian Kahn ownership in KY. Will know more once foal is born.

My Conquestadory (in foal to Tapit) - foal due any day - 2016 foal (shown below) born Feb 23. Sold to SF Bloodstock & Newgate Farm, no doubt is still in KY awaiting the birth of the foal.

Promise Me Silver - no news on who she was booked to, but no doubt resides at an Adena Springs farm, probably Kentucky.

‘16 Sacred Forest - still unnamed, might be a pinhook, might not be. Nothing known at the moment.

She’s Not Here - still in the U.S., probably bred to any one of these: Exaggerator, Flintshire, Daredevil, California Chrome.

‘16 Summer Soiree - still unnamed, seeing as Dennis O’Neill bought him, probably not a pinhook. Likely to be seen in the California racing circuit under Doug O’Neill in 2018. Resides at Rosecrest Farm. http://rosecrestfarm.net/newcomer-to-the-farm/

Burning Arch (in foal to American Pharoah) - first foal due any time, now resides at Hinkle Farms, KY.

Crisp (in foal to American Pharoah) - foal due April 2017 - 2016 foal born Mar 28. Very likely shipped to Japan.

Favorably (in foal to Honor Code) - foal due any time, resides in Kentucky under the ownership of Fred W. Hertrich III. Possibly booked to Exaggerator?

Island Hop - filly by Honor Code born March 8. Montfort Mares, LLC (Lexington, KY) the breeder.

Lexie Lou - to be bred to Frankel, will probably reside in Japan.

‘16 Mekko Hokte - RNA’d, so probably going to Europe to race.

‘16 Serena’s Cat - expect this one to reside in Kentucky and begin racing summer/fall 2018.

‘16 Storm Dixie - expect this one to possibly go through the ring again in 2017.

‘16 Stormy Sunday - this filly (shown as a suckling) too will probably go through the ring at a select sale in 2017.

Dynamic Sky - RNA’d, so standing at Shannondoe Farm in Ontario, Canada for $4,000 Canadian first season.

Dads Caps - RNA’d, standing $5,000 at Legacy Ranch in California first season.

General Quarters - purchased by Turkish owner, is standing stud there.

I will give an update on the mares and now-yearlings three more times: once more this spring, then this summer and then prior to the 2017 KeeNov sale this fall. The stallions will only be given updates when some news is given about them, which is unlikely to happen before January 2018.

Oh! I will be doing Camp NaNoWriMo, starting tomorrow. The goal? Finish editing my book! I will keep y'all posted on how that progresses.

See you in April!
