Homosexuality and Why It's Wrong

Homosexuality: Why It's Wrong

In this day and age, homosexuality is now virtually "the thing to do", or "the thing to support" (if you're not sexually attracted to a member of the same sex). It has gone so far that even many Christians, who were known to not accept that kind of behavior from fellow Christians, now are allowing it inside their buildings of fellowship, or churches.

I am not going to launch into the Biblical perspective of why homosexual behavior is wrong, at least not yet. Instead, I am going to show you why it is unnatural, even in a "godless world".

Homosexuality: Unnatural

If you are one of those who believes human beings are nothing more than evolved animals, then I ask you this: why, if you are nothing more than an animal, is behavior that goes against the order of survival-of-the-fittest so acceptable and so natural?

Why is behavior that produces so much illness (in the form of mental illness and also STDs) okay and even normal?

"While anyone who has sex can get an STD, sexually active gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (MSM) are at greater risk. In addition to having higher rates of syphilis, more than half of all new HIV infections occur among MSM." ~ http://www.cdc.gov/std/life-stages-populations/stdfact-msm.htm

"At the National STD Prevention Conference on Wednesday, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) released some astonishing data regarding rates of infection among MSM (Men who have Sex with Men).

The data indicate that rates of HIV infection among gay men and other men who have sex with men (MSM) are more than 44 times higher than rates among heterosexual men and more than 40 times higher than women. Rates of syphilis, an STD that can facilitate HIV infection and, if left untreated, may lead to sight loss and severe damage to the nervous system, are reported to be more than 46 times higher among gay men and other MSM than among heterosexual men and more than 71 times higher than among women."

"CDC’s National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey is a first-of-its-kind study geared to determine the difference between the victimization of men and women by sexual orientation. The results show that men and women involved in homosexual behavior undergo much higher rates of sexual violence than men and women who are heterosexual.

Even LGBT leaders have conceded that those in the homosexual community tend to ignore the prevalence of sexual violence between its members.

'Until recently, [LGBTQ] intra-community sexual assault went largely unacknowledged, particularly for women who have sex with women,' National Center for Lesbian Rights Reproductive Justice Fellow Lauren Paulk admitted. 'A particularly disturbing dynamic arises when the assaults are perpetrated by other LGBT community members.'

Paulk says that the LGBT community has rationalized or ignored such violence for various reasons.

'Denial, misrecognition and the dismissal of outside-the-community concern as latent homophobia are examples of responses to sexual assault that occurs between members of the LGBT community,' the homosexual activist explained. 'Survivors of assault may not know where to turn, either because they fear they will not be believed or supported, or because they do not want to malign another member of the community or reinforce negative stereotypes.' Homosexuals contain more jealousy and hatred than most heterosexual people. Now don't tell me that it's still okay even though it causes ugly murders. How is homosexuality an acceptable thing if it causes more murders and sickness?

I will add one more thing. Homosexuals cannot have children naturally. If your sexual behavior does not allow for natural reproduction, how is it normal?

Yes, I know there are arguments out there for how animals have "homosexual" relationships. But I can tell you that is not normal and is either caused by a mental problem (animals get those too, you know) or by hormone malfunction. And those animals, since they do not reproduce, die out in one generation, unless the problem is solved, through medical means, and they go back to having heterosexual relationships within their species.

I am not going to say for one minute that homosexuals are easy to convince that they're wrong, even when so much evidence says that they are. They chose this life simply for the pleasure it provides (apparently), ignoring all the evidence of the ugly consequences, and continue in it today because they have gotten used to shutting out the truth.

Homosexuality: Ungodly

And the Bible also tells why they are so difficult to reach. But first, I will begin asking those of you who believe you are Christians--and also believe that homosexual behavior is acceptable to God--how you can believe God's Word and also deny the words He says about homosexuals.

If you believe God's Word, then it must be literal, at least to some degree, right?

What gives you the right to pick and choose what parts of God's Word are literal and which ones aren't? The entire Bible is literal, although I will give people some slack on the book of Psalms. If part of the Bible is literal and part of it isn't, wouldn't He have made sure that it was clear in His Word which parts were literal and which parts weren't? Even if it seems a little far-fetched, such as in the book of Revelation or even the book of Jonah, He wasn't being figurative with his speech. No, when John wrote the book of Revelation, every single word was to be taken literally.

And what makes you think Paul was being figurative when he talked about reprobate minds and men forsaking the natural use of the woman for each other? Did you change the meaning of reprobate?! Did it not occur to you what the natural use of the woman is?

Romans 1:26-32

"For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves recompence of their error which was meet.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."

Now, if you are wondering what cause God gave the people up for, I will show you.

Romans 1:18-25

"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it to them.
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen."

And what about Sodom and Gomorrah? Do you honestly think that God changed his mind between the Old Testament and the New Testament on homosexuals?

Genesis 19:4-5

"But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
And they called unto Lot, and said to him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them."

And in case you're wondering what the men meant about "knowing" the angels...

Genesis 4:1

"And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD."

Genesis 4:17

"And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, after the name of his son, Enoch."

Genesis 4:25

"And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew."

God didn't change His mind on anything in or between either Testament.

He never changed his mind on homosexuals, fornication, adultery, stealing, murder, etc. Never. And yet you think that you can get away with homosexual behavior and not suffer any consequences.

God says to show love, and maybe you think that right now I'm being the most hateful person in the world. I'm not. I don't hate you. But just like sometimes a parent has to cause pain to a child in order for it to see the error of its ways (AND people are trying to abolish that, too, so that the children grow up spoiled and uncorrected....), we Christians have to point out the truth to the lost and misguided around us, so that they can see the error of their ways. And hopefully we, too, will grow out of the experience.

II Timothy 4:2-4

"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."

Midwife Appointment - How It Went

On Thursday, my husband and I went to the midwife for our monthly appointment. It was the first time we had gone together to see her since the consultation, and so it was also the first time he got to hear our child's heartbeat. Although he has felt the baby moving (whenever the baby obliges, which isn't often; it doesn't like to be felt by anyone except me....) this was an entirely new experience and he was excited. I don't blame him: the first time I heard the heartbeat of our little one it brought a glow I had never felt to my face! And, for the first time, the baby actually stayed put instead of "running off" while she tried to get his or her heartbeat. He or she did get excited though for a few seconds and the heartbeat went through the roof there for a little bit!

D also got his blood drawn so that they could find out what his blood type is, for if it is positive then I will be getting my first of two rhogam shots in December, and if it is negative then I won't have to worry about it. He did manage not to faint (phew!) but it was still apparently a little traumatic. I'm never asking him to deal with needles again. I feel sorry for him but sometimes, (I know, I'm cruel) it makes me laugh when I compare my reaction to his reaction with getting blood drawn.

Workday Prep & Review

On Friday, the first people began to arrive for Saturday's workday. We had been cleaning up and doing a little prep around here for that, and to tell the truth the house looked a lot better for it. Too bad it didn't last long with all the construction and demolition that happened!

I'd also been preparing sweet tea and lemonade, and Thursday we went shopping for the supplies to feed everybody. The slow cookers have finally been broken out (after nearly 7 months of sitting in our cupboard in unopened boxes...) and were used. We made ice cream Friday, which failed utterly (and nobody knows why), and I made cookies. So, we had plenty of dessert options as well as food options, and no one was be complaining, dehydrating, or starving!

The cats got the scraps, so the only complaining they did is that they wanted the food BEFORE it became scraps. It wasn't a lot of complaining, though.

Some people will stayed over to Sunday, and others came in yet to help then, so Sunday did have some work done, but Saturday was the main workday. It began about 9 (after breakfast) and ended about 6, early enough for supper and an airsoft game Saturday night. We also had a Bible study Sunday morning before work resumed.

In all, we got the spare room cleaned out, wiring done in there, all the lights and switches hooked up, sheet rock put up on one wall in the living room, the insert put in the bathtub/shower, paneling put up on some walls, and the kitchen circuits separated off to solve the problem of the breaker flipping every time we tried to use more than one thing at a time. It worked!!

Kelly did hang out a little bit but usually kept her distance. She was confused by all the people hanging around, and all the noise.

On Saturday, I turned Sue in with Sneaky, but she is not in heat so the two are just hanging out together. Mandy is the one that's freaked out--talk about a buddy sweet horse!!

On Sunday, Dingus got his first halter lesson in a while. It took a bit to catch him (and he ran off with a rope around his neck so that was slightly funny to watch as he tore around with the 12-ft line flapping beside him), but he remembered his halter lessons from August and wasn't too hard to handle. That colt has muscle to him!
Bad angle but here he is!
I'm sorry this post is late--I just about ran out of internet and was trying to conserve it this weekend, and now that I have internet back I can get this up. My next post will be on time--and focusing on 3rd parties and the presidential race.
