Two Thousand Seventeen - Holidays

My recap of D's birthday and the events surrounding the 2017 Thanksgiving celebrations comes next week.

We're on our way to Hico to see more family, as D and his parents have done annually for the past while.

Yesterday, Ma's family all gathered at her place to give thanks for all God has given us - each other, homes, good lives, and our friends.

2016 Hico Thanksgiving
It was the first Thanksgiving without Caleb. But we were and are thankful for the time we did have with him, and thankful that he is in Heaven.

This year we got two little boys to play with, and next year at least one more little one will join in the fun. Yance's very first first cousin is due early May 2018.

In the holiday season, we get to experience everybody's love. We had an overwhelming amount of it twice this year already, what with losing Pop and then Caleb. But this time we were not gathering to mourn. Yesterday we were together to celebrate what freedoms we have.

I don't know how the Hico Thanksgiving will go down. For some people, it will be their first time seeing our Yance, and for others only their second. And he was a lot smaller and quieter when they last saw him!

Y'all, be thankful and joyful for the freedoms and rights we have, and for the salvation the Lord offers through Jesus Christ. It doesn't matter how hard things get, for you can still have a piece of joy, an overflowing amount of thankfulness, in any circumstance.

I am not the best example of this, but I am trying.

Pray for my husband's family as they navigate their first holiday season without Pop or bright Caleb.

I am not featuring anything this week as an Amazon affiliate. But this is the first Friday that my book has been for sale, so here is all of the information on that!

It is available on Amazon for $13.86, or on Amazon Europe for 10.50 in British pounds and costs 11.77 euros.

And it will appear soon in bookstores and online stores, and should also be available in libraries and schools within the next 6-8 weeks. It will also be available on CreateSpace, where it was published.

"A.P. Indy" will be released on Kindle in the New Year, so watch out for it there!
